7 min read
5 steps
Prerequisites
You have contractors set up with different currency preferences
Exchange rates are configured in your workspace
You have payment accounts for each currency
Step 1
Configure supported currencies
Go to Settings > Currencies
Enable the currencies you need (EUR, GBP, USD, etc.)
Set default exchange rate sources
Configure automatic rate updates or manual rate entry
Step 2
Create currency-specific payments
When creating a payment batch, select the payout currency
Filter invoices by contractor currency to group them
Or create separate payment batches for each currency
The system will automatically group by currency if you select 'Multi-currency' option
Step 3
Review currency groupings
Check that contractors are grouped correctly by currency
Verify exchange rates are applied correctly if converting amounts
Review total amounts in each currency
Ensure each currency group has a valid payment account
Step 4
Generate multi-currency export files
Select the appropriate bank format for each currency group
Generate separate export files for each currency
For SEPA (EUR), select 'SEPA XML' format
For UK (GBP), select 'FASTER' format
For US (USD), select 'ACH' format
Step 5
Submit to multiple banks
Download each currency-specific export file
Submit EUR file to your European bank
Submit GBP file to your UK bank
Submit USD file to your US bank
Keep track of submission status for each currency group
